From this form to a finished job

Nobody enjoys not knowing what comes next. This is the sequence, and roughly who is holding the ball at each point.

  1. We call you back

    MVC handles it

    We go through what you want to replace, how your home is built and whether anything about the job is unusual. This is also where we tell you if we think you should do more openings than you planned, and why.

  2. We measure on site

    MVC handles it

    Every opening gets measured. Approvals are tied to size, so measuring is what turns a rough figure into a real one.

  3. You get the estimate

    Itemised by opening, with the product and glass package named. You can compare it line by line against anyone else’s.

  4. You decide

    You do it

    Take the time you need. If you want to see the products in person first, the showroom in Doral is open on weekdays.

  5. We file the permit

    MVC handles it

    The application, the product approvals, the drawings and the notarisation. In Doral this goes to the City of Doral Building Department, not to the county.

  6. The city reviews it

    The county or city does it

    Review times are not ours to promise. We tell you what the department is currently taking and we follow the application while it sits there.

  7. The units go in

    You do it

    The work on site is done to the anchoring detail in each unit’s Notice of Acceptance. Expect some stucco damage around the openings: taking an old frame out is not a clean operation, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not done it.

  8. Final inspection

    The county or city does it

    The city inspects and closes the permit. You get the documentation for your insurance inspector at the same time.
